EUGENE, Ore. – (April 1, 2013) – OTC Elite athletes Cyrus Hostetler and Eric van Ingen, along with University of Oregon thrower Jillian Weir, decathlete Dakotah Keys and hurdler Johnathan Cabral will headline the fourth TrackTown Tuesday event of 2013—this Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Springfield.

Vin Lananna, President of TrackTown USA and Associate Athletic Director of Olympic Development at the University of Oregon, will once again serve as the night’s Master of Ceremonies.

“With a very successful Oregon Preview behind us and the Pepsi Invite, the Oregon Twilight, and the NCAA Championships on the horizon, we have a lot to look forward to in TrackTown USA,” said Lananna. “The 2013 outdoor season at Hayward Field promises to be one of the best ever, and TrackTown Tuesday gives fans a chance to interact with the stars of those events.”

Hostetler, who is planning to open up in the javelin throw at the Oregon Twilight on May 3, will speak about his experience at the 2012 London Olympic Games and his hope to once again represent Team USA in 2013, at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow.

Eric van Ingen is a newcomer to the OTC Elite squad and trains with middle distance runners Russell Brown and Andrew Wheating. He has a best of 3:38.06 in the 1,500 meters.

Cabral is coming off his best indoor season to date, finishing sixth in the 60 meter hurdles at the NCAA Championships. The 2012 Pac-12 110-meter hurdle champion ran an all-time best wind-aided time of 13.33 seconds to win the Texas Relays last weekend. If the time had not been wind-aided it would’ve broken Eric Mitchum’s 2004 school record of 13.38.

Weir had a huge indoor season with a best weight throw of 67-6.25/20.58m and just missed a trip to the NCAA Championships. Already outdoors this season, she set a personal best in the hammer at the Oregon Preview with a toss of 173-2/52.78m.

Keys is coming off his first decathlon of the season at the Texas Relays last weekend, in which he placed third with 7,743 points. He is the reigning Pac-12 champion in the event with a personal best score of 7,793 points, which ranks seventh all-time at the University.

A packed house is expected, so get there early to secure a seat. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 6:45 p.m. The TrackTown Tuesday series will continue throughout the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons with events on May 7 (Nike Eugene), May 28 (Valley River Inn), and June 11 (Valley River Center).
