The Oregon Track Club recently awarded grant money to five recipients this year.  In a long-standing commitment to promoting and encouraging interest and participation in track and field endeavors in the community, OTC solicits annual applications for grants to individuals and organizations.

This year the following groups were awarded grants:
-Track City Track Club - $1500 for rental fees associated with the Track City International Track Meet
-Sheldon High School Track Program - $1200 to repair and purchase equipment
-Bethel Elementary/Middle School Track Program - $1000 to provide scholarships for low-income students
-Monroe Middle School - $1000 to replace outdated equipment
-Eugene Running Company Racing Team - $300 to help pay registration and membership fees for adult runners participating in upcoming road and track seasons.

Grassroots Grant money will be available again next year.  Interested parties can access applications by going to oregontrackclub.org after August 1, and submit  requests until September 30, 2011.
