"The second informal timed event of the Oregon Track Club Monthly Run/Walk Series is Thursday, February 10th.
These events are a fun way to meet 2011 goals, whether to improve fitness, meet new friends, learn something new, volunteer more, or save money. All ages and abilities are welcome. There are no awards for speed but those participating in at least 9 of 12 events will receive a special gift at the 2012 Annual Dinner.
Events are the second Thursday of every month and will vary in distance and location. All are presented by Eugene Running Company and Nike Running, with free refreshments from Pepsi and timing services from Eclectic Edge Racing.
Each event features several OTC experts providing advice and guidance in an informal setting. Events are free for OTC members ($5 for non-members). If not already a member, sign up for an OTC membership at an event to save $5.
